Huntley High School Senior Recognized By Hispanic Heritage Foundation
Mateo Hernandez received a gold level recognition of the Youth Award in business and finance.
Mateo Hernandez, a senior at Huntley High School, is among 27 students throughout the Midwest recognized by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation in March.
Now in its 22nd year, the educational grant program recognizes Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their excellence in various categories, including business and finance, as well as education, engineering, entrepreneurship, health care and science, media and entertainment, public service, social justice and technology.
