Huntley Patch Hero 'Cares Deeply About The Community'

HUNTLEY, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

This submission comes from Jill Roberts, from Channahon, who nominated Jeremy Roberts, from Huntley. Here's what Roberts said about the local hero:

Is the nominee considered an “essential worker”?:
Yes

What does the nominee do for work?:
He operates Roberts Sewing Center in Crest Hill and is in a managerial position at a medical manufacturing facility.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
He has donated fabric to the community to facilitate fabric mask making for essential workers and donated masks to numerous essential facilities, some of which include St. Joseph’s Hospital, Edward Hospital, Will County Adult Detention Facility, Our Lady of Angels Nursing Home, Beuhler YMCA emergency child care center, Meadowbrook Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, Assisting Hands Homecare, S.O.S. Children’s Village, Metro Animal Services as well as the public.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
He is hardworking, generous, and cares deeply about the community.
