Needle Found In Kit Kat Handed Out On Halloween: Huntley PD
Huntley police are investigating the incident, which occurred during trick-or-treating in the Talamore subdivision in Huntley.
HUNTLEY, IL — The Huntley Police Department believes someone tampered with candy handed out on Halloween after a child found a large sewing needle inside a Kit Kat bar, police said. A Huntley resident said the candy came from the Talamore subdivision in Huntley and the child didn't realize the needle was inside until biting into the candy, according to a post on the Huntley Police Department Facebook page.
"At this point, it is unknown where or when the object was inserted into the candy," police said. "The entry point of the needle was visible on the exterior of the candy wrapper."
No one was injured in the incident, which was reported on Wednesday, police said.
