Mayor Opposes Proposed Sledding Hill In Huntley
Huntley Mayor Charles Sass voices concerns about a proposed 22-foot sledding hill near the Stingray Bay Family Aquatic Center.

HUNTLEY, IL - The mayor of Huntley has spoke out against a proposal to build a 22-foot sledding hill in the village. Mayor Charles Sass says he'd rather not set a precedent that could allow future developers to argue against paying to move their own spoils, according to a report from the Northwest Herald.
Sass spoke during a village Committee of the Whole meeting last week which included a discussion on the idea of constructing the hill west of the Stingray Bay Family Aquatic Center.
Huntley Park District officials are seeking to build the hill using spoils from the construction of an 11,900-square-foot maintenance and storage building nearby.
