Pregnant Dog and Puppy Foster Homes Needed THIS Saturday 8/3!

There are puppies, puppies, and more puppies on the way! Our shelter partners in Tennessee do not have statewide Spay and Neuter Laws like we do in Illinois and they are overwhelmed with puppies and pregnant dogs. This shelter even offers to spay or neuter dogs if the owner volunteers for just 20 hours…and yet the problem continues.

The shelter is no place for puppies! It’s hot and they are so small, we would love to get them OUT of there. They deserve a cool, soft, place to rest and grow.

Safe Haven Dog Rescue would like these puppies and pregnant moms to come to Illinois on Saturday 8/3. We don't have a physical location, so we count on the generosity of our community to open their homes to foster. There's no better way to finish off your summer!

Pretty soon children are going to have to write that dreaded “What I Did Over the Summer” paper. Just think how excited they will be to tell their teachers and classmates how they helped puppies grow up, or even saw a dog have puppies!

Here are some of those hoping to hitch a ride to safety:

Puppies:

Stranger Things Puppies- Eleven, Dustin, & Will are 6 month old hound mix puppies. They were found abandoned on the side of the road and taken in by a family who took care of them for a while. They are social with other dogs and all people. They are about 16-18lbs each. They can be fostered together or separately.

Pregnant Dogs and Dogs with Newborn Puppies:

Nyx and her Newborn puppies – Nyx had her puppies a few days ago needs a safe place to raise her family. She would love a safe and loving foster home.

Akina – Pregnant mom, due in the next week or two.

Pip – Pregnant mom, due in the next week or two.

Fostering a pregnant dog or mom and newborns is beyond rewarding! You get to see them grow, nurse, open their eyes for the first time, and begin walking.

Fostering puppies is a joy! They are cuddly, goofy, and very lovable.

When you foster, you will also have expert fosters available for questions you have any time night or day.

Safe Haven provides you with everything you need while you foster and you have the first option to adopt if you so choose.
