Unable to Pay Back Money She Stole, Woman Sentenced to Time in Prison

A woman convicted of stealing from her Crystal Lake employer in 2010 was sentenced to prison Monday after failing to pay restitution. Diana Voss, 51, formerly of Lake in the Hills, was sentenced to four years in prison.
Over two years from 2006 to 2008, Voss, now residing in Midlothian after losing her home in foreclosure, stole more than $100,000 from Toner Research, where she’d worked for seven years. Her attorney told the judge that Voss would need 88 years to pay back the money she stole, reports the Northwest Herald.
