2 Guns Recovered During Mound Road Arrest: Police

JOLIET, IL — A Will County judge has set bail at $50,000 for a 24-year-old Joliet man arrested last week with two guns in his possession, according to police.

Joliet police arrested Monroe Lincoln Jr. on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, manufacture and delivery of cannabis and having no FOID. Joliet police executed a search warrant in the 4200 block of Mound Road around 6:50 p.m. on Thursday that led to the arrest of Lincoln.

"Officers located Lincoln in a vehicle nearby at which time officers recovered cannabis, after search of the vehicle," Joliet police reports show. "Upon search of Lincoln’s residence, officers recovered two firearms and materials consistent with growing and cultivating cannabis. Lincoln was transported to the Joliet Police Department for booking and then to the Will County Adult Detention Facility."

Lincoln lives in the unit block of Fernwood Drive in Joliet. He remained in the county jail on Monday unable to post the necessary 10 percent.
