21-Year-Old Shot In Joliet Township: Sheriff
The Will County Sheriff's Office is seeking the community's help in identifying the two men believed to be involved in Saturday's shooting.

JOLIET, IL —A 21-year-old man remains hospitalized in stable condition after being shot in the Ingalls Park area of Joliet Township shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday. The Will County Sheriff's Office believes Saturday's shooting may be targeted.
At 3:52 p.m., sheriff's cars rolled up to the area of Third and Anderson Avenues after learning of several gunshots. Deputies found a young man laying outside on the ground. He suffered a gunshot to his torso, sheriff's officials said.
Sheriff's deputies applied aid, and the young man was rushed to a local hospital.

"The victim required surgery and is currently in stable condition," Will County Chief Deputy Sheriff Dan Jungles announced.
Witnesses told the sheriff's office they heard two shots and observed two men run from the area after the victim was shot.

As of 9 p.m., the Will County Sheriff's Office did not have a good description of the gunmen.
The sheriff's news release stated this appeared to be a targeted shooting.
"If anyone has information pertaining to this incident, or was a witness to the shooting they are encouraged to contact the Will County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at 815-727-8574," Saturday night's news release announced.
