The property that deputies responded had an unoccupied house on it and a nearby pole barn type structure that was once was a machine shop business.
When deputies arrived, they saw approximately 20 people whose ages ranged from 15 to 21 and numerous vehicles on the property. Witnesses described the gathering as a party that was attended by people familiar with the area.

Witnesses told police that a fist fight broke out between a 17-year-old boy and another group of juvenile males. Witnesses said the altercation occurred because the 17-year-old broke a piece of equipment inside the pole barn, according to Jungles.
After the first fight, another broke out shortly thereafter. During the second altercation, the 17-year-old boy from Braidwood took out a pocketknife and began stabbing three other male juveniles.
One of the juveniles was stabbed in the back, puncturing his kidney. Another was stabbed in the left side of his head, and another in his left eye. Jungles said none of the injuries is believed to be life-threatening.
After the stabbings, the 17-year-old ran from the barn and hid in a nearby field, Jungles said. He was later taken into custody by responding deputies after witnesses identified the attacker. All three victims were later taken to area hospitals for their injuries.
The 17-year-old suspect was taken to a local hospital for a medical evaluation and later released to detectives. The suspect was later taken to the River Valley Justice Center in Joliet and charged with numerous counts of aggravated battery and battery.
After the suspect?s initial court appearance in juvenile court on Monday, the teen was released to his parents under the provision of ankle monitoring, Jungles noted.
