Blue Kangaroo Homicide: Joliet Police Investigating Teen's Death

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet teenager was fatally shot in a parking lot on the city of Joliet's east side during the early morning hours of Saturday, Joliet police told Patch.

The homicide happened in the back parking lot of The Blue Kangaroo Laundromat, in the 600 block of East Cass St. The homicide victim may have lived nearby on Jerome Avenue. Joliet police did not have any suspects as of Saturday afternoon.

One Joliet resident went on the Joliet Police Department Facebook page and suggested that they heard six gunshots right before midnight. The dead teenager was not discovered until around 4:55 a.m.
