First Responders Weekend 2012 to Take Place

The First Responders Weekend 2012 at Siegel’s Cottonwood Farms will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 29 and 30.

All firefighters, police officers, EMTs and other first responders, as well as their spouses and children, will receive complimentary admission to this event.

The festival will feature over 20 activities, such as a farm animal petting zoo, hayrack rides, train rides, the John Deere Grain Train.

Kids' activities will include giant slides and three play lands.

The farm's 17-acre cornfield maze, "Zombie Politics 2012," will feature the zombie likenesses of President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney.

For a fee, food, pony rides, a 26-foot climbing wall, gem mining activity and pumpkins and fall decorations will be available.
