The Will County Health Department’s Tobacco Control & Prevention program will offer the Freedom From Smoking program beginning Oct. 1 at Adventist Plainfield.
The community-based program provides participants with group support while helping smokers to develop skills to manage stress, control weight and fight smoking urges.
Program participants will meet every from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday for seven weeks and have the option to receive the nicotine patch, gum, or lozenge for free.
Registration is required to attend.
The program cost is $25 per person, which will cover program materials.
