"Officers determined that the juvenile was the driver of a GMC sport utility vehicle that had struck three unoccupied vehicles that were parked on the street. Further investigation determined that the juvenile then fled the area without providing notification, striking two chain link fences and a stop sign in the process," police reports state.

Eventually, Joliet police captured the juvenile and put him in handcuffs inside a squad car.

"The juvenile became irate in the squad car and spat on the face of an officer who was in the front seat," police stated. "While officers were transporting the juvenile to the Joliet Police Department, he kicked and shattered a rear passenger window of the squad car."

At the Joliet Police Department, the juvenile showed signs of alcohol impairment, so he was taken to St. Joe's hospital, police said.
