Bettie Joyce Veasy

Preceded in death by her father, John B. Veasy; brother Daniel “Dannyboy” Veasy; and a niece, Jonae’ Sims.

Survived by her mother, Fannie Mae Veasy (Sims); two children, Tonya (William) Austin and Bennye (Rocky) Brown; four grandchildren, Antoneya, T’ara, Deveon and Edgerrin; three brothers, John Brown, Burnest Veasy and John Veasy Jr.; four sisters, Sabrina and Michelle Veasy, Yvonne Williams and Felicia (Walter) Houston; boyfriend Eric Sharpe; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends, including her best friend, Sue Bradley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home and Saturday, January 4, 2014, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at One Vision Worship Center, 2701 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL. Service at 10:00 AM, Dr. Deon D. Hayes officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
