Chicago Wingz Around The World Opening In Joliet On Larkin

JOLIET, IL — In the coming days, a new Joliet restaurant called Chicago Wingz Around the World will be opening for business along Larkin Avenue on the opposite side of the street from the Sam's Club. Chicago Wingz is in the little business plaza just north of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Service.

Signs in the windows inform people that Chicago Wingz Around The World will be opening soon. How soon? This week, next month, two months from now?

That remains to be determined.

Around Joliet, it's quite common to see a new restaurant erect their storefront sign even though they may not ready to open for at least a few months.

In any event, more chicken wings restaurants are opening in the Joliet area at the moment.

The addition of Chicago Wingz Around The World comes just four months after the Chicago's Chicken Shack opened as a new carryout restaurant located in the Renwick Plaza near Weber Road in Crest Hill at 20641 Renwick Road, just east of the Weber Road traffic light.

The owners of Chicago Shack told Patch in January they hoped to draw people from Crest Hill, Lockport, Joliet, Plainfield, Romeoville and Bolingbrook.

Now, they're about to face competition for their Joliet area customers from the new restaurant that will be opening soon on Larkin Avenue, just off the Interstate 80 interchange.
