Child Porn Arrest In Joliet By Illinois State Police

JOLIET, IL — A 61-year-old Joliet man was arrested Tuesday by the Illinois State Police on four counts of child pornography possession. Rodney D. Phillippi, who lives at the apartment units in the 1000 block of Lois Place, was booked into the Will County Jail at noon.

The Joliet man's bail was set at $75,000 and he remained incarcerated on New Year's Eve, unable to post 10 percent in order to regain his freedom.

The criminal complaint states that Phillippi had a digital image on a tablet computer that contained a nude female child under the age of 13 exposing herself. One of the photos in his possession showed a girl under 13 having sex with an adult man, the complaint states.

Will County court records indicate that Phillippi must stay away from all minors in the event that he posts bail in the future.
