Children's Programs, Events Offered During Winter Break
Check out these options being presented by the Joliet Park District and the Joliet Public Library.

Looking for something for the kids to do while they're on winter break? Here are a few options:
Holiday Dance Camp
The Joliet Park District is offering this program at its Multi-Purpose Center, 3000 W. Jefferson St., as a way to introduce children to "different styles of dance, poms, cheer, movement, and tumbling." Divisions are decided by age and all skill levels can participate. The camp also includes a daily swim in the indoor pool.
Open to ages 4 to 14. Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 26 and 27 and Jan. 2 and 3. Cost is $60 per week.

Camp Reindeer
This program, open to children in kindergarten through 6th grade, is held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday Dec. 26 and 27, Dec. 30, and Jan. 2 and 3 at the Joliet Park District's Hartman Center, 511 N. Collins St. Children are required to bring a lunch and a snack.

Inwood Ice Arena Skating
The hours for public skating at the Joliet Park District ice rink, 3000 W. Jefferson St., are:
- 1 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 26
- Noon to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 27
- 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 28
- 1 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 29
- Noon to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 30
- 1 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 2
- Noon to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 3
- 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 4
- 1 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 5
The Joliet Public Library will hold this event at the Panera Bread store in the Louis Joliet Mall from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 27. Open to ages 3 to 5. Registration is required. Click here to register.
