Deadly Crash On Lorenzo Road: Victim From Coal City
Saturday night's death occurred about a quarter mile from the boundary for Will and Grundy counties.

WILMINGTON, IL — Grundy County Coroner John Callahan along Will County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the death of a 35-year-old former Coal City resident who was killed late Saturday night in a collision along Lorenzo Road.
The coroner's office said the victim John Inocencio was currently living in Gardner.
Saturday's fatal collision happened around 11:30 p.m. along Lorenzo Road a quarter-mile east of the Will/Grundy county line, Callahan's news release stated.

"Preliminary investigation indicates a car driven by John R. Inocencio was eastbound on Lorenzo Road when it crossed the center line and was struck by a westbound vehicle," the Grundy County Coroner's Office announced.
Wilmington Fire/EMS arrived and extricated Inocencio from his car and brought him to the Morris Hospital emergency room where he died at 12:26 a.m. Sunday.

The crash and death involving the current Gardner resident remains under investigation by Will County Sheriff’s Department and Grundy County Coroner’s Office, the coroner announced.
