Don 'Duck' Dickinson Resigns From City Council: Report
The at-large Joliet councilman has stepped down, effective immediately.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet City Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson announced his resignation on Friday, WJOL reported.
Dickinson's resignation was effective immediately, although he was expected to issue a formal letter of resignation to the city clerk on Monday. WJOL reported that Dickinson did not attend city council meetings on Monday or Tuesday this week.
Dickinson said in a statement that he looks forward to returning to private life and spending more time with his children and grandchildren, WJOL reported.

The at-large councilman was elected four years ago and in August said he would not seek re-election next April.
Earlier this month, Dickinson filed a police report accusing Joliet Mayor Bob O'Dekirk blackmail over nude photos he said he had sent. O'Dekirk has denied Dickinson's allegations and accused him of filing a false police report.
