Bill Jacobs Automotive, a group of car dealerships headquartered in Joliet, is teaming up with the Heartland Blood Center and offering free oil change coupons for participation in its annual blood drive.

The drive takes place Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Bill Jacobs Cadillac and Chevrolet location, 2001 W. Jefferson St., from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Bill Jacobs Auto annual blood drive is an ever-growing event for the dealership, as it continues to see an increased number of participants every year. Although the Joliet community has continually shown its support for this worthy cause, Bill Jacobs Auto is showings its gratitude by offering a free oil change coupon at the Bill Jacobs Auto service center for anyone donating a pint of blood.

The coupon does not have to be redeemed the day of the blood drive and those who receive a coupon are encouraged to schedule an appointment online or by phone to ensure the most efficient service.

Heartland Blood Center conducts nearly 2,000 blood drives per year in locations throughout Illinois and strives to maintain and provide a sufficient supply of blood and blood products for Illinois hospitals to draw from to meet the needs of patients. The Heartland Blood Center has a location in Joliet and many of the surrounding areas for those looking to continue donating blood after the Bill Jacobs Auto annual blood drive and throughout the year.
