Drinking, Loud Music Leads to Plainfield Road Arrest: Cops

JOLIET, IL — A disturbance inside a Joliet house in the 400 block of Plainfield Road led to the arrest of 28-year-old Jeremy Majewski after police say he attacked his stepbrother following a night of drinking alcohol. The two got into an argument over loud music, and Majewski punched the victim several times, Joliet police say.

Joliet squad cars arrived at the house around 12:50 a.m. Thursday. Majewski is being charged with domestic battery, obstructing a peace officer, aggravated resisting a peace officer and aggravated battery to a peace officer.

When police went to the call on Plainfield Road, "officers attempted to place Majewski into custody, but Majewski began to walk away. Officers caught up to Majewski and placed him into custody after a brief struggle," police reports show.

Majewski was booked into the Will County Jail around 2:45 a.m., jail records show. Majewski also had an active Will County warrant for his arrest, police said.
