This Forest Preserve District of Will County event for those ages 12 and up will take place at Whalon Lake, beginning at the Lakeside Pavilion. The free event will feature a Q-and-A with the Coast Guard Auxilliary regarding boating safety and regulations. The Coast Guard Auxiliary will also inspect boats to ensure it meets safety standards and, if deficiencies are found, how to meet those standards. Various free handouts will be available at this event, which will feature an open forum session from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
