Public Astronomy Talk: What is Happening at the Center of our Galaxy?

This ages six-and-up event will feature a talk by Dr. Farhad Zadeh, a Northwestern University professor of astrophysics.

Zadeh will present an overview of recent astronomical observations that indicate the evidence for a mighty black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy.

The presentation will feature a large number of telescopes simultaneously spying on the black hole in order to present its daily flaring activity.

The talk will also include information about the formation of young stars near the black hole.
