This free, all-ages family event will feature a hike through the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site.
A Forest Preserve District of Will County interpreter will guide attendees through the foundations and remaining features of the site.
Attendees will learn about iron and steel production and hear the stories of the men who worked at the site.

Participants will park in the site's parking lot, where they will take a .25-mile walk to the trail head, followed by a .75-mile hike through the site along an accessible paved trail.
