'For Every Guy She Follows, He Was Going To Punch Her': Complaint
The victim told Crest Hill police that in May 2024, she matched with the defendant, 20-year-old Adriano Bezares, on Tinder.

CREST HILL ? A 20-year-old Crest Hill man, Adriano Bezares, is now being kept in the Will County Jail in connection with accusations he punched and tried to strangle a 20-year-old woman he met last year through Tinder, according to court records.
Bezares is charged with aggravated domestic battery, three counts of domestic battery and one count of aggravated assault. The Crest Hill police made the arrest last Thursday.
"He stated he found a condom wrapper under her bed, and it made him angry," prosecutors outlined in court documents. "He accused (her) of cheating on him. He admitted to hitting (her) during this incident. He never mentioned anything about a weapon. He stated, 'I couldn't control my emotions, and I put my hands on her. I snapped.'"

According to the petition to deny pretrial release, prosecutors said the 20-year-old victim came to the Crest Hill police station at 10:15 p.m. on Jan. 22. She explained that she got matched with Bezares through Tinder in July. Then, on Jan. 20, court documents say, he accused her of cheating when he found a condom wrapper under her bed.
According to prosecutors, the victim later agreed to talk with Bezares about the issue and met with him in a parking lot in the 400 block of Elsie Avenue, and he entered her car.

After he demanded access to her phone, she handed it over and Bezares told her that for every guy she follows, he was going to punch her, court records show.
She "does not know how many times she was struck, but thinks about 100 times with a combination of a closed fist and open hands," prosecutors stated.
The victim told Crest Hill police that Bezares pulled out a gun and put it to her head and threatened her to drive him to a gas station.
"She advised he threatened to shoot her car," court records show.
At one point, Bezares put his hands on her neck, applying pressure, trying to strangle her, prosecutors said, noting that he told her "he should just kill her and himself."
When he put the gun to her head, he also took out his phone to record the event, she told the police. "He told her to beg for forgiveness and (she) started to cry and complied."
The next day, the 20-year-old woman went to the hospital to treat her injuries. She had bruises and doctors examined her for a head injury.
Bezares, who comes from the 500 block of Elsie Avenue, has remained in the jail since 5:40 a.m. on Jan. 23. He met the dangerous standard under the SAFE-T-Act, a Will County judge ruled.
