Facebook Readers Sound Off on Lockdown, County Strike, Other Issues
No shortage of opinions from readers who check out Joliet Patch's news via stories we post on www.facebook.com/JolietPatch.

For those of you who don't frequent Joliet Patch's Facebook page very often, we have an active community of followers who leave great comments on the stories we post.
Here are a few we gathered up from the past week...
On the story about the Joliet City Council rejecting a request to open a title loan business in a shuttered fast-food restaurant:
John P.: How many payday/title loan stores stores are needed in this town? These predatory businesses prey on the poor and desperate. It also presents a poor image of Joliet with so many of these on the main thoroughfare.
Chuck S.: The loan business should have been allowed. The city should not be limiting consumer choices.
On the story about the president of the Joliet firefighters union chastising Joliet City Councilwoman Jan Quillman for her actions when she accused a firefighter of assault as he assisted her mother-in-law:
Kirk L.: how old are these people 10? I'm sure there more important issues to address, if this what they want spend time and tax payers dollars on then its time to clean house top to bottom, what a joke.
On the stalled contract talks between Will County and its union employees:
Brian R.: The true issue is Obamacare. It is Obamacare that is driving up the health insurance premium. This would be settled if it wasn't for the dramatic cost increase and cost shift.
Bryan W: I have no pity, these unions and their workers put these democrats in office. "You can keep your coverage no matter what" how's that working out for ya?
On the proposed incentives the city plans to give to the PJ Zonis, who plans to open Lockdown Bar & Grill in the old downtown Crabigales building:
Tony F.: I cant find a building with a decent rent, and these guys get 250K?
Jamie R.: Hoping this is as good as the Lockdown Bar and Grill in Chicago! The food and atmosphere there is awesome and I think it will do good with the Mojoes crowd.
