Fairfield Inn Arrest Made By Joliet Police Department

JOLIET ? It does not happen very often, but the Joliet Police Department responded to the Fairfield Inn near Interstate 80 and Houbolt Road, arresting a 25-year-old woman from Crest Hill on charges of domestic battery and aggravated battery to a police officer. Jocianna Echevarria is now being kept in the Will County Jail.

According to Joliet Police spokesman Dwayne English, the following events unfolded on Sunday during the early morning hours:

At 2:32 a.m., the officers responded to the Fairfield Inn at 1501 Riverboat Center Drive for a domestic disturbance. An officer arrived and saw Echevarria punching and kicking a 32-year-old man.

Echevarria was detained by the officer to stop the attack. It is believed that the fight began in their guest room and then progressed to the hallway of the hotel. While Echevarria was detained in handcuffs, she lunged her body into the chest of an officer. She was then taken to the Joliet Police Department for processing and transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
