Family Feud Turns Into Family Fight, 2 Arrests Made: Joliet Police

A preliminary investigation revealed that the incident began as a dispute between several family members, Joliet police said.

JOLIET, IL ? The Joliet police officers assigned to the Kendall County portion of the city west of County Line Road made two arrests this week: 21-year-old Joliet Janiya Escareno of Joliet was arrested and taken to the Kendall County Jail on domestic battery charges, and so was 39-year-old Joliet resident Markeisha Warmack.

According to the arrest reports, at 7:13 p.m. May 6, officers responded to a house in the 900 block of Bluebell Circle for a domestic disturbance. The incident began as a dispute between several family members. The situation escalated into a physical fight in which it is alleged that Warmack and Escareno struck both victims about the body during the disturbance, the arrest report noted.

Police said the victims are believed to be the son of Warmack's son and his girlfriend, and Escareno's sibling.

Both Warmack and Escareno were placed into custody.
