Joliet Teen Dies During Wreck With Semi On Icy Roads: Police
The Joliet Fire Department said the crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. Monday.

JOLIET, IL — An 18-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a Monday morning crash with a semi truck in Joliet's Forest Park Neighborhood. Icy roads were a factor, police said.
The crash involving a sports utility vehicle and a semi truck was reported at 6:07 a.m. near Louise Ray Parkway and Valley Avenue. The teenager was driving west on Louise Ray Parkway when she lost control of her SUV and veered into the southbound lanes at Valley Avenue, Joliet police said.
Her SUV was truck by a semi-truck driven by a 57-year-old man driving his semi southbound on Louise Ray Parkway. The roads were icy at the time of the wreck, police said.

Monday's fatal crash is under investigation by the Joliet Police Department traffic patrol unit. Crews from Joliet Fire Station 4 on Draper Avenue responded to the wreck.
