Francesca's Closing Louis Joliet Mall Store

JOLIET, IL — On Sunday, hundreds of people were shopping inside the Louis Joliet Mall, where nearly all the stores are occupied except for the old Sears and Carson's. But one well-known women's clothing store, Francesca's, won't be around much longer.

Francesca's has a large sign on its storefront announcing the Joliet store closing. One of the employees told Joliet Patch that the retail outlet is closing about five stores including the Louis Joliet Mall. The Louis Joliet Mall employees don't know the final day of business, but it's likely to be sometime in January, they told Patch.

Francesca's focuses on women's clothing, dresses, tops, jewelry, shoes and accessories.

According to the company's website, Francesca's started in 1999, opening its first boutique in Houston. Nowadays, Francesca's has stores in 48 states.
