Graffiti Criminals Nabbed By Joliet Police Defacing Property: Cops
Officers recovered spray paint cans and ink in the possession of Christopher Guzman, Joliet police revealed.

JOLIET, IL ? Two members of the Joliet community, 22-year-old Daniel Delgado and his 21-year-old friend Christoher Guzman were arrested on Wednesday morning after they were caught by the Joliet police committing graffiti crimes near downtown Joliet's Metra train station, the arrest reports show.
Delgado was arrested on two crimes: criminal defacement to property and resisting/obstructing a peace officer. Guzman only faces one crime: criminal defacement to property.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said that at 7:38 a.m., an officer conducting foot patrol in the area of Washington Street and Eastern Avenue saw two adult males defacing a Metra pay vestibule using spray paint.

The males were identified as Delgado and Guzman.
As the officer placed Guzman into custody, Delgado tried to run away but was quickly located in an alley near Richards Street and taken into custody, English said.

Crimes such as defacement of property are not detainable under the Illinois SAFE-T-Act so the Joliet police had to let Guzman and Delgado go on a notice to appear in Will County court.
