Gunshots Fired On 2 Different Nights Across Joliet: Police
Following a canvass of the neighborhood, the officers discovered over 20 spent shell casings in the area.

JOLIET ? The Joliet Police Department announced that their officers have responded to two different shooting crimes over the past few days. Nobody was shot, but discharging a gun under such circumstances is considered crime activity.
According to the press releases from spokesman Dwayne English:
At 2:28 a.m. on Tuesday, the officers responded to the area of Division Street and North Broadway Street for a report of shots fired. Officers located spent shell casings in an alleyway behind the 400 block of North Broadway.

Officers conducted a canvass of the area and found nothing to be struck by gunfire.
Two nights earlier, on February 9, at 10 p.m., the officers responded to the 500 block of Campbell Street for a report of shots fired. Officers discovered that a residence in the area had been struck by multiple rounds of gunfire. The residence was occupied at the time of the shooting; however, no injuries were reported. Following a canvass of the neighborhood, the officers discovered over 20 spent shell casings in the area.

Crest Hill police also issued their own press release on Tuesday, revealing that someone fired gunshots in the 16000 block of Palm Drive around 6 p.m. on Monday. Crest Hill Police also revealed that they worked with the Joliet police SWAT team to raid a house in the 16000 block of Palm Drive following the gunshots in the Crest Hill subdivision.
"At this time, the incident appears to be isolated and there is no evidence of an ongoing threat to the community," Crest Hill police announced. "As a precaution, Crest Hill police have increased patrols in the area."
