Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening Is Coming To The Rialto

The son of the late John Bonham, former drummer for the iconic English rock band Led Zeppelin, is returning to the Rialto Square Theatre this Fall. Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening is coming to the Rialto stage on Monday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are now on sale.

With a famous rocker for a dad, it was only natural that Jason Bonham grew up around rock music. By the age of 5, Jason was a skill drummer. By 17, he had signed a record deal with his band Air Race on the famous Atlantic Records. Air Race went on to open for acts such as Queen, Meat Loaf, AC/DC, and more.

Jason then went on to form his own band, simply known as Bonham. The band went on to record their first album, The Disregard of Timekeeping, and the single “Wait for You” from the album earned them a gold record.

Though accomplished through his own music, Jason chose to honor his father by filling in with Led Zeppelin following the late drummer’s death in 1980. Since then, Jason has made a host of public appearances with the iconic group including the first-ever reunion of the group at the 40^th anniversary of Atlantic Records as well as their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. Jason also filled in as the drummer during Led Zeppelin’s December 2007 reunion concert at London’s famous O2 Arena along with surviving members Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant.

The appearances with the group prompted Jason and his band to record a tribute album to his father in 1997 titled, In the Name of My Father – The Zepset – Live from Electric Ladyland. The album featured songs by Led Zeppelin. More than a decade later in the Fall of 2010, Jason put together a show to honor his late father and has toured worldwide since that time with the Led Zeppelin Evening, which is honors the late Bonham and the music from Led Zeppelin.

Now the show is making its way back to Joliet this November, and tickets range in price from $43.50 to $73.50 plus tax and fees. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Rialto box office.
