JCA Placement Exam, Pre-Exam Workshop Set for This Week

Joliet Catholic Academy issued this news release about its annual placement exam and pre-exam workshop:

On Saturday, January 11, 2014, Joliet Catholic Academy will host its annual Placement Exam for current 8th grade students considering JCA as their choice for high school next fall.

Eighth-grade students should arrive no later than 7:50 a.m. and enter through the main entrance off of Larkin Avenue. The exam will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students will exit the building through the south doors, on Ingalls Avenue.

Students are asked to bring the $30 exam fee, two #2 pencils, calculator (optional), and their Social Security number, along with their completed JCA application for admission. The application can be downloaded from www.jca-online.org or call the Admissions Office at 815-741-0500 for assistance.

Get prepared for the exam by attending JCA’s Pre-Exam Workshop on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.

Students will receive a brief overview of the EXPLORE Test and have the chance to complete sample test questions. Parents will find out the next steps in the application process and will be given information about course placement.

Please park in the main parking lot off Ingalls Avenue and enter through the main entrance facing Larkin Avenue.
