John Woolridge

Age 74, departed this life at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center on Thursday, November 14, 2013. John was born in Richmond, VA, moved to Evanston, IL, and later to his permanent residence to Joliet, IL. John retired from Case Foundation and is a U.S. Army Veteran.

Preceded in death by his parents Peter and Selenia Woolridge, eight brothers, and two sisters. 

John is survived by his wife Gwen; daughters Joni and Brianna; son John Jr.; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Stelios, and Christian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 21, 2013, from 4-7pm at Shiloh Baptist Church, 18101 Oak Ave., Lockport, IL. Service at 7pm, Pastor Richard D. House officiating. Interment Friday, November 22, 2013 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
