Day Two for Frozen Joliet: Here's What's Closed Tuesday
Several places aren't closed but will be open later than usual. Garbage pickup will resume, but the schedule is delayed by a day.
With temperatures expected to be only moderately warmer tomorrow than they are today, some schools and other places have announced they will not be open Tuesday or will be opening later than usual.
Will County offices will be open on Tuesday but plan to open at 10:30 a.m., two hours later than usual, for the safety of employees, County Executive Larry Walsh said in a news release.
There will also be a delayed opening for the Greater Joliet Area YMCA facilities, which will open at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Kendall Area Transit dial-a-ride services resume at noon Tuesday.
Waste Management will be picking up garbage Tuesday, according to the Joliet city manager's office. However, the schedule is delayed by a day because there was no collection on Monday.
