Joliet Driver Tried To Shoot Motorist On Dan Ryan Expressway: ISP

On February 3, ISP and FBI agents located Curry and took him into custody.

JOLIET ? On Wednesday of this week, the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 announced the arrest of 22-year-old Kenneth Curry III of Joliet on charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm stemming from a road rage incident in 2023.

According to the Illinois State Police:

On November 13, 2023, at approximately 4:18 p.m., ISP responded to the report of an expressway shooting on the Dan Ryan Expressway, Interstate 94 southbound near 120th Street. The suspect, later identified as Curry, reportedly fired a weapon at the victim?s vehicle. The victim?s vehicle was struck multiple times, but the victims were not injured.

On February 3, ISP and FBI agents located Curry and took him into custody. ISP presented the case to the Cook County State?s Attorney?s Office and the above-mentioned charge was filed.

Curry is being held at the Chicago Police Department 5th District pending his first court appearance. No further information is available, the state police advised.
