Joliet Family, Pets Escape House Fire On Apollo
Several vehicles inside a Joliet family's garage were damaged by Monday night's blaze.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Fire Department said it is still investigating the cause of Monday night's house fire at 608 Apollo Drive. The residents and their pets were able to escape the fire on the city's west side near Black Road.
Joliet fire engines from Stations 5, 6 and 7 arrived at the two-story on Apollo Drive at 8:53 p.m. Crews saw large flames coming from the attached garage, according to Fire Chief Greg Blaskey.
The remainder of the home sustained mild smoke damage and is habitable, the chief said.

On Tuesday morning, crews from the Joliet Police Department and the fire department were on the scene inspecting the blaze.
