Juliet's New Menu Includes Juliet's Burger, 60 Different Beers
Tuesday marked the official permanent reopening of Juliet's Tavern at 205 North Chicago St. in downtown Joliet.

JOLIET, IL — This week Bill Dimitroulas was welcoming several guests to mark the official reopening of Juliet's Tavern after an eight-month shutdown. But Joliet businessman who also owns Hamburgerseria, CUT 158 Chophouse and the Rosemary Cafe said he will also be opening a fifth Joliet business venture in the next few months.
That business will be a cigar bar and lounge, he said.
Dimitroulas said he plans to open the place in downtown Joliet, also along North Chicago Street.

As for Juliet's, the well-known downtown Joliet restaurant and bar at 205 North Chicago St. had remained closed since early October until reopening under new ownership this past Tuesday.
In March, Dimitroulas acquired Juliet's Tavern. He replaced the Italian cuisine menu in favor of an American style menu.
On Tuesday, Will County Circuit Court Clerk Andrea Chasteen and others from her staff stopped for lunch. One of Joliet's most notable businessmen, First Midwest Bank senior vice president Jim Roolf, also patronized Juliet's to try the new menu.
And one happy customer was buying shots of vodka for a couple of patrons seated at the bar. Another man was leaving with a group of four guests when he encountered Dimitroulas. He gave the new owner a hearty handshake and told the rest of his group that Dimitroulas was the city of Joliet's most successful restaurant owner.
"People are excited to see the place open again," Dimitroulas told Joliet Patch. "They are excited with the menu and variety of beers that we have."
Juliet's Tavern has 60 beers on its menu.
As for the lunch menu, the Juliet's Burger may become a crowd favorite in the days ahead. It's an 8-ounce house made patty that comes on a brioche bun, the signature Juliet's sauce, and it comes with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle.
Overall, there are 10 sandwiches on the new menu:
- Juliet's Burger
- Grilled Salmon Sandwich
- Turkey Burger
- BBQ Bacon Burger
- Caprese Panini
- BLTA
- Grilled Salmon Sandwich
- Buffalo Chicken Sandwich
- Cubano Sandwich
- Pulled Pork Sandwich
The dinner menu features eight selections: beef tenderloin medallions, half-roasted Greek chicken, beef schnitzel, chicken saltimbocca, braised lamb shanks, grilled bone in pork chop, filet mignon and 14-ounce grilled boneless Delmonico ribeye.
There are also four seafood dinner items and four pasta choices.
As for weekends, Dimitroulas urges customers to call ahead on Friday and Saturday to book their reservations. The phone number for Juliet's is 815-666-1244.
