JOLIET, IL — In January 2020, Johnny and Norma opened their first Kafe De Kasa in Joliet on Ingalls Avenue. They later relocated their coffee shop to Plainfield Road in Crest Hill. They have a second location at 345 North Schmidt Road in Bolingbrook called Kafe Du Monde.

And now, Johnny and Norma are looking to expand again. This time, they are opening a new Kafe De Kasa coffeehouse in downtown Joliet.

"Who would like another Kafe De Kasa by downtown Joliet?" the Joliet area coffeehouse recently asked its Facebook page followers.

"We're hoping for the beginning of July to be open. We'll have the same coffees, the same style of pastries and possibly some breakfast pastries," Johnny told Joliet Patch. "It's going to be a bigger location than the one in the red house along Plainfield Road."

Johnny said he decided to expand his coffeehouse business to downtown Joliet because so many of his original customers from the Ingalls Avenue location came from the east side of Joliet.

For many of them, his new coffeehouse location in Crest Hill is too far a drive.

Although Johnny wasn't ready to disclose the mailing address for his second Kafe De Kasa location, he did reveal to Joliet Patch that "I'm going to be very close to Niko's Pizzeria."

Johnny and Norma hope to open their second Kafe De Kasa, in downtown Joliet, by early July.
