Katherine Lindholm's Letter To Loved Ones Battling Breast Cancer
"These are two of the most strong-willed, determined women that never give up! We admire your courage."

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we asked Patch readers to share their breast cancer journeys on Patch. This is Katherine Lindholm's letter to breast cancer survivors Colleen Allen and Kathy Sewing:
Colleen Allen is a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, cousin and friend. In the summer of 2017, at the age of 28, Colleen was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Colleen has gone through many chemo treatments, surgeries, radiation, and is currently going through more treatment. Her beautiful baby boy, Russ, was 6 months old at the time of her diagnosis. The love of her life (husband), Ted, has been right by her side every step of the way. They are a beautiful couple and family. Colleen's parents are with them every step of the way, with never-ending love and support.
Less than a year after Colleen's diagnosis, her mom, Kathy Sewing, was diagnosed with a different type of cancer. Thankfully, after the major surgery and recovery, Kathy has gotten a clean bill of health. These are two of the most strong-willed, determined women that never give up! We admire your courage when faced with unimaginable challenges and the fight to keep going. You are an inspiration and role model! Keep it up! You're doing GREAT!!!
