JOLIET, IL — A 31-year-old Joliet man is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Jordan Moore was firing his gun at another car along the busy stretch of Larkin Avenue and McDonough Street early Sunday morning. Officers captured Moore several minutes later, charging him with aggravated discharge of a gun, aggravated assault, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of controlled substances and several traffic offenses.

Around 3:05 a.m. Joliet patrol officers working the overnight shift heard several gunshots near McDonough and South Larkin Avenue. Moments later, officers saw a car speed by without its headlights activated, police said.

Officers gave chase and tracked the fleeing car to the 300 block of Purdue Court, in the city's Marycrest Neighborhood area, where the driver hit a parked car, according to police. Moore was the only person in the car and police arrested him without any problems, according to police.
