Jimmy Taborn is accused of selling drugs three times to undercover officers at a park at Campbell and Nicholson, Joliet police said.

A Joliet man under investigation for six months as a heroin dealer was arrested by the Joliet Police Department Tuesday, Cmdr. Al Roechner said.
Jimmy D. Taborn, 47, is accused of selling drugs to undercover police officers three times since June, Roechner said. In each case, he would meet the police buyer to make a heroin deal at a community park at Campbell and Nicholson under the guise of walking his dog, he said.
A warrant was issued Nov. 6, and Taborn arrested Tuesday night when police found him standing outside his home at 209 N. Center St. He was charged with three counts of manufacture/delivery of heroin with 1,000 feet of a public park and violation of parole.
Taborn is being held in the Will County jail in lieu of $150,000 bond.
According to Illinois Department of Corrections records, Taborn was released on parole in April 2012 after serving three years of a six-year prison term for other amount narcotic schedule I and II. He was also sentenced to five years in 2002 for other amount narcotic schedule I and II, three years in 2000 for felon in possession of a weapon and three years in 1995 for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
