Man With Gun, Marijuana Arrested At Joliet Bar: Cops

Joliet police arrested the 23-year-old following a disturbance call over the weekend at Los Tres Hermanos bar 670 Jackson St.

JOLIET, IL — A 23-year-old Joliet man who lives in the 500 block of East Benton Street was arrested by Joliet police on felony gun charges following an incident at an east side bar over the weekend.

By 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Joliet police delivered Keenen Curl to the Will County Jail where he was booked on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition, not having a FOID card and marijuana possession, police reports show.

Shortly before midnight on Friday, Joliet squad cars rolled up to the Los Tres Hermanos bar at 670 Jackson St. for a disturbance call and officers located Curl in the parking lot.

"Officers detained Curl after observing a clear bag of cannabis protruding from his pocket. Curl then indicated to officers that he possessed a firearm. Officers recovered this firearm and placed Curl into custody without incident," Joliet police announced.

Curl was released from the Will County Jail on Saturday night after posting 10 percent of his $25,000 bail, jail records indicate.
