Man With Gun Rams Car, Threatens To Kill Joliet Police: Cops
Joliet police arrested 21-year-old Kehwon Watts after he crashed into a woman's car in the 800 block of Ewing Street, police say.

JOLIET, IL — A 21-year-old Joliet resident is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say he intentionally rammed his vehicle into a woman's car in the 800 block of Ewing Street. Joliet police say they also recovered cocaine from Kehwon Watts' pockets and that Watts threatened to kill members of the Joliet Police Department during the booking process.
On Friday evening, Watts was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a gun with no FOID, reckless conduct, three counts of aggravated assault, possession of controlled substances, resisting a peace officer, obstructing a peace office and a valid Will County arrest warrant.
Shortly after 5 p.m., Joliet squad cars rolled up the Ewing Street house in Joliet's Forest Park area for a disturbance call.

According to Joliet police, "Watts intentionally struck the victim’s vehicle with his vehicle. The victim and her daughter were in the vehicle at the time of the collision. While still in his vehicle, Watts pointed a black handgun at the victim then fled from the scene."
Patrol officers pulled over Watts near his residence in the 400 block of East Washington Street, and he was put under arrest.

According to police, officers recovered a bag of white powder suspected to be cocaine from Watts’ pocket. After searching his car, officers recovered a loaded handgun, police reports show.
Inside the Joliet Police Department booking room, Watts became angry and he threatened to kill Joliet's police officers, reports state.
Watts became combative and struggled with the officers, who managed to restrain him, according to police.
Watts is now staying in the Will County Jail and his total bail was set at $52,000, logs show.
