Man Stabbed With Kitchen Knife On Jefferson Street: 1 Arrested

Wednesday afternoon's non-fatal stabbing happened in the 1300 block of West Jefferson Street, Joliet police said.

JOLIET, IL — A 54-year-old Joliet woman who lives at a house in the 1300 block of West Jefferson Street has been charged with two crimes following a non-fatal stabbing that happened Wednesday afternoon.

Around 1:35 p.m., Joliet police responded to the attack and arrested Felicia Wiggins on charges of domestic battery and aggravated battery. Wiggins remained in the Will County Jail on Thursday awaiting her court hearing to determine her bail.

"Officers determined that a male adult victim had been battered by Wiggins, his girlfriend," Joliet police announced. "Further investigation indicated that Wiggins became involved in an argument with the adult male victim at which time she stabbed the victim in the left arm with a kitchen knife."

Joliet officers said that Wiggins was arrested without any problems. A Joliet Fire Department ambulance brought the stabbing victim to the AMITA Health St. Joseph Medical Center.
