Metal Pipe Hurts Joliet Neighbor, Leads To Fracture: Prosecutor
This marks the fourth time 66-year-old Joliet resident Lamarris Creal is in the Will County Jail since 2020. He was jailed last year, too.

JOLIET, IL ? Lamarris Creal, a 66-year-old Joliet man who comes from the 200 block of Criswell Drive, is now back in the Will County Jail following his latest Joliet police arrest in connection with a violent attack at an east side trailer park, the court files show.
A Will County judge invoked the SAFE-T-Act to keep Creal in the Will County Jail indefinitely. Creal's latest arrest happened on May 9 when he hit another man in the wrist with a metal pipe, causing a fracture, the Joliet police criminal complaint noted.
Creal has been charged with aggravated battery.

According to the petition to deny pretrial release, Joliet officer Gregory Humphrey responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Criswell and the victim told him he was arguing with his neighbor, Creal, about leaving his residence, which is prohibited by Creal's ankle monitor.
"Creal is always harassing neighbors," the victim told Joliet police.

On May 9, Creal "became upset and grabbed a pipe and hit him on the left arm near his wrist. This caused the wrist to swell. (The victim) was transported to St. Joe's Hospital for medical treatment," court files show.
Another neighbor saw the altercation and told Joliet police that Creal hit the victim with a 3-to-4-foot metal pipe and then took the pipe into his trailer. The neighbor had a similar pipe that he showed the officers, and it "looked like a rod typically used to hold up an awning."
