JCA, Joliet Public Schools, Many Others Cancel Tuesday Classes

Keep checking this list for updates on schools closures and other groups and/or events affected by the weather.

Joliet Catholic Academy and all Joliet public grade and high schools are among the many closed for a second day Tuesday because of the bitter sub-zero temperatures affecting the Joliet area.

A wind-chill warning is in effect until 9 a.m. Wednesday, and the latest National Weather Service forecast is calling for blowing snow all day Monday and an overnight low of 21-below. Tuesday, the high will be zero and the low expected to be 9-below.

We're posting closings as they become known. Feel free to mention anything you know is going to be closed in the comment box below so we can verify and publish.
