NuMark Credit Union to host Free Home Buyer Education Seminar "Life as a Homeowner"
Have you recently moved into your new home? This seminar will help you protect your biggest investment.

Crest Hill, IL, February, 2015 – Moving into a house involves a lot more than unpacking boxes. Home ownership requires you to get acquainted with your house. Before you unpack the last box, make sure you get acquainted with things like the shutoff valves for water and gas, the fuse box or circuit breaker box, and the hot water heater thermostat. Are your flues closed? Is your sump pump in good shape? Is the thermostat programmable? How can ceiling fans save money on heating or cooling bills? How will owning a home affect your taxes? What’s your borrowing power? Having answers to questions like these will get you started on the right foot.
NuMark Credit Union will help you get the answers to these questions and more. Come to a FREE informational seminar, “Home Buyer Education: Life as a Homeowner,” on March 17th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at their Crest Hill office, 2380 Caton Farm Road. This seminar is for people who already have shopped around for a house and have a mortgage in place. Whether you’re about to move into a new or different house, or you just moved in and simply want to know more about home ownership, you’ll come away with information and resources to make the transition a smooth one.
“A house doesn’t come with an owner’s manual,” says Linda Krakora, NuMark Credit Union Training Manager. “This is a great seminar to educate new home owners on how to create their own manual and properly maintain that home both physically and financially.”
