Joliet Man Who Killed Motorcyclist Had Stolen Loaded Gun: Cops
Joliet police arrested 69-year-old Bradford Temen on June 10 following the deadly crash with Joliet resident Calvin J. Thompson.

JOLIET, IL — A 69-year-old Joliet man whose van collided with 57-year-old Joliet motorcyclist Calvin J. Thompson last week, killing Thompson at the intersection of Doris Avenue and South Chicago Street, has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
According to last week's criminal complaint by the Will County State's Attorney's Office, Bradford Temen, a resident of the 900 block of North Raynor Avenue, was in possession of a black Springfield Armory Hellcat when he was not supposed to have any guns.
According to Joliet police, patrol officers responded to the crash at Route 53 and Doris Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on June 9. Thompson was pronounced at the scene. Temen was not injured in the crash, and Joliet police brought him to the downtown station for questioning.

According to Temen's charges, the Joliet senior citizen was previously convicted of unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle in 2010 in Cook County.
After Joliet police arrested Temen, he was booked into the Will County during the early morning hours of June 10. He was freed later that evening after posting 10 percent of his $5,000 bail, jail records show.
